  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 80 g leeks, sliced
  • 160 g kimchi, cut in pieces
  • 100 g onions, cut in half
  • 20 g oil
  • 150 g bacon cubes (1-2 cm) (optional)
  • 320 g risotto rice, e.g Carnaroli, Arborio
  • 780 g water
  • 40 g light soy sauce
  • 1 - 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chicken stock paste (see variation)
    or ½ chicken stock cube (for 0.5 l)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground white pepper
  • 30 g butter
  • spring onions, sliced, for garnishing
  • sesame seeds, any colour, for sprinkling
