Open Cooking with rice

Rice, a staple for over a third of the global population, is uniquely prepared in different cultures and can be precisely cooked using the Open Cooking mode in the Thermomix® TM7.

Rice is a staple food for more than one third of the world’s population, yet, no two cultures cook it the same way! Rice is prepared according to generations of passed-down recipes and loving advice. Open Cooking mode in the Thermomix® TM7 is a great option for those times you want to have complete control over your rice dishes.

Rice – your way!

Just like traditional cooking on a stovetop, Open Cooking mode allows you to prepare rice exactly the way you like it. Simply choose a time and temperature then cook according to your preferences. As the mode results in nicely textured rice with looser grains, it’s especially good for preparing delicious paella-style dishes. Stirring every now and then will ensure your rice cooks evenly, and scraping the base of the mixing bowl with the spatula will prevent it from sticking. You can also add additional seasoning and flavourings as you go, without pausing the mode, resulting in completely customisable rice dishes that suit your tastes.
